Anyway...I have a terrible, dreadful habit of being late, a year or more late, when it comes to Wedding Samplers. I had an excuse on this one because as a gift, I didn't want said sister to see which pattern I was going to use and we did live in the same house. Then...I didn't get started on it until after her first anniversary! It was the second time I had made this particular pattern (the first time it was also my first ever wedding sampler), but I used 18-count rather than 14-count fabric as I wanted the design to be a little smaller.
He pointed out the date and I was like, "So?" until I realized what he had noticed right off--I had put 2017 and the Lovebirds were married in 2016!! Great catch, Daddy!!
The second project, which I started almost immediately as I completed the first, was a baby sampler--for my sister was expecting her first baby! Little Man was born after I mostly finished, so all I needed to do was add the name and the corner design. (What I had originally picked out was too girly...we didn't know which she was having and I was sure she was having a girl. Auntie was wrong, but who cares!)
